Rich Hope and the Evil Doers @ The Fairview

Dick Dale everyone says. The first guys are surf, in their thirty/ forties and from Calgary I think.
There's a bit of a punk edge, a bit of cowboy in the band and a little Will Ferrel meets Harrison Ford in the guitar player. They play, the burlesque ladies hula hoop their hips and the stand up bass gets a slappin'.
They set the mood.

Rich Hope, the hairdresser/ charisma slides on up. His National rocks more to the punk edge of things, the active scene, his crowd expects quality.
Greaser you could say.
No disappointment. A misplaced boy tries out for harmonica, the drummer's vocals kill, the crowd fist-pump empty pitchers, grind up on each other and two step.
Country culture, small town folk. I identify and drink with the rest til the late nite end, watchin the two piece slay, talkin comfortably to anyone and peepin at the hula dames with their laced up butt cleavage, Coyote Ugly style.
